The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, at its regular weekly meeting expressed shock over the crash and offered fateha for the passengers killed in the incident. The Cabinet also offered fateha for the assassinated son of the Information Minister of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and the victims of suicide blast next day in Pabbi and for the people killed in floods in Balochistan.

The Prime Minister called off the Cabinet meeting till next week in the wake of the tragic incident.
